Perth GGJ 2020

It’s that time once again, where keen game-makers around the world get together for one glorious weekend of developing; at the Global Game Jam! Join us at SAE Institute Perth, and team up with folks you know, or make new friends to get creative. Regardless of skill level, and whether you’re an artist, sound designer, programmer, animator, 3D modeller, level designer, project manager, or any other form of passionate creator – rest assured you will be immersed in an excellent game development experience!

As per always, we will have plenty of space for you to bring your laptop or desktop to jam away, eating spaces, and even room to sleep. This year we will also be providing fruits and barista coffee to keep jammers energised!

This years GGJ at SAE Institute Perth will be $20 per person. If you cannot meet the ticket price please email Imogen ( [email protected] ) and we will do our best to accomodate you.  We want everyone to come along!

PLEASE NOTE: Also make sure to signup through our registration site on Jamsite!

We will only be taking ticket payments through Jamhost with no cash on day option. Again if you have any problems paying online, do not hesitate to contact us.

Registration at the venue opens from Friday at 3 pm; where we will be testing & tagging your equipment, and then jammers can set up their equipment.
We will hold the presentation with the keynote and theme reveal at 6 pm in the Auditorium. Once the theme is revealed, we can start jamming!

Massive thank you to our sponsors, Dymocks Subiaco, King Tide Studios, Binary Space and Black Lab Games.

If you are interested in supporting this event, we are looking for on-day volunteers and sponsorships, to keep bringing GGJ back to the Perth community. Even small amounts make a huge difference to the event.

If you have any questions, or are interested in volunteering or sponsoring, please don't hesitate to email Imogen [@]

Public Transport and Parking

SAE Northbridge is a short walk from both the Perth Busport and Perth Train Station / Underground.

Parking is not the best with most nearby parking being paid. But we have assembled the advice as well as we can.

On Friday we will have bays reserved out the front door of SAE for dropping off gear.  Just drive into the Wilson Carpark and you'll see us!
